Mill Creek is located on the mainland in Hampstead and is about an equal distance between the channels leading to [New Topsail Inlet]] and Richs Inlet. There are a number of oyster bars and shoals but there is a good channel much of they way through the creek until reaching the back three branches where it gets very shallow at low tide. The mouth of the creek is marked by unofficial white stakes between ICW markers 100 & 102 and offers good speck, flounder and puppy drum fishing, especially in the fall.
