The Carolina rig is used by freshwater and saltwater angler alike. It can be used with a variety of baits ranging from soft plastic baits to live bait. A basic Carolina or C-rig is made by placing an egg or bullet weight on your main line then attaching a barrel swivel with a leader and hook below it. There are variations of it that include beads, spinners and similar devices.
