This artificial reef is 15.5 nautical miles from New Topsail Inlet on a heading of 140 degrees. Locally known as “the third set of boxcars” it was originally made with train boxcars in the 1980’s. Since then a barge, bridge rubble and concrete pipes have been added. It is marked with a yellow buoy.
