This artificial reef is 13.9 nautical miles from the New Topsail Inlet sea buoy on a heading of 127 degrees. Intially made from train boxcars it is locally known as the “second set of boxcars”. Concrete pipes, manholes and culverts have since been added. There is a yellow buoy marking the area.
