Went fishing on a friend’s boat out of Sneads Ferry on Friday. He had “killed” the reds the day before, so we headed to those spots. Problem was that the wind was really blowing today and it made it tough to fish the same spots. He skunked me pretty bad catching 3 small drum and one under size flounder with a small speck lost near the boat. Me, well I had one good hook-up and lost the fish when my main line to leader knot broke during the fight. That was it and that was near the end of the day. Of course to make matters worse, in my excitement I stomped my foot - not a good thing to do on in aluminum boat, sound travels a long ways in the water.
Okay, got the dust off, time for some serious fishing! Weather forecast is looking good for the end of the week - hope to get out to the gulf stream for some cobia, tuna and wahoo fishing!
