So, our vaca to N. Topsail is quickly approaching. We will mostly fish from the surf, maybe a day at the pier and one day on the Vonda kay. We would love to do a charter but it is only myself and a buddy, $150-350 each is a bit too pricey. Anyone know of someone willing to take us out for a decent price? We usually go to Rodanthe and call the Oregon Inlet Marina and notify all captain we are looking to fill a charter. We usually get put into a charter of 6 to make the price less and one year some charter captain took us out for half the price because he wasn’t booked that day and it was a couple days before the trip. Anything like that in Topsail?

Check with Chris Medlin at East Coast Sports in Surf City.  He runs a booking service for about 10 or 12 charter boats so he might be able to find what you are looking for.  His number is Phone: (910) 328-1887.  Tell him Topsail Angler sent ya.

It’s me and my buddy, we are avid fishermen and know our way around a boat. He has a 25’ center console Angler but it’s up for sale and he wouldn’t want to trailor it down there anyway. It would be nice to get out on a boat but the $200-300 per man is killing us. Especially after spending so much on the vaca itself.
We were college roommates and both 32 years of age.
