Thank you sir. Mike has been a big help and NC Pierman has helped me with the Reds also. I look forward to meeting more people on this site. My partner and I fished the Redfish Action tournament this past weekend. The weather was beautiful but it’s tough to compete with the pros, aka guides. We did manage one Rat that barely made slot.

Welcome aboard!  Did you fish up around the north end of the island for the toruney or more down my way?  I didn’t see any reds Friday when I was out and I was fishing areas I expect to see them this time of year.  Just curious.

No Mike the tourney was out of Beaufort. We fished up around that area on Saturday. On Friday, we ran down to Swansboro and fished but didn’t find many down there either. I guess we just didn’t know where to look. The winners weighed two fish that totaled over 14 pounds. I’m pretty sure they were down around Swansboro. My partner is from Holden Beach and we’re going to fish Swansboro more before the next tourney in September.

Hey, thanks for the heads up about the local reds. I am thinking about going after some this coming weekend.
