Sarah and I ran the skimmer to try a few new spots. We started in the marsh with no bites, went over to Rich’s inlet with no bites. Finally hooked 1 small shark and 2 small blue fish in the water way, then tried something all new, trolling for flounder. We dropped some mullet on a one ounce Carolina rig and ended up with 2 short flounder in the boat.I thought we were flipping oyster shells but every time Sarah said, it was FISH ON!!! she was right. Not long after we put two more shorties in the boat then called it a day. Always a good day with my daughters on the water. Hope it lasts for a while…

Thanks for the report.  Might have to give that trolling for flounder technique a try.  I caught one once trolling Rapala lures for trout but never intentionally targeted them on the troll.

I caught one on a yozuri in the inlet. Didn’t target them but they do chase baits. You sure can cover more ground that way.
