It took from 8pm until 3 am to get the fish last night. We had to work for them, but wound up with 16. I will take 16 anytime on a chilly January night. Don’t let ANYONE tell you that there are no flounder out there this time of year.

Another fun night of winter gigging last night. We started around 11pm and had our two person limit by 3am. Did not see as many big stud trout last night though. At home and in the bed by 3:30. I do have some open dates for gigging and winter redfishing if anyone wants to make a trip.

We had a very good night gigging last night. Had a catch of trout, flounder, mullet and black drum. Saw a lot of 3-4” spotted shrimp last night, I would have loved to have them in a pot of boiling water. Beautiful night to be on the water.
I do have open dates for these cold nights gigging and winter redfishing if anyone wants to give it a shot.

Hey guys this is the first video that I have made and put together. I hope you guys enjoy. I promise to get better with the camera. We stuck some flounder and a few trout. The ones that we tapped and made run in the video were legal, just wanted to show you guys how fast they are.

Hit the water today to see what the cold front this week had done to the fish. We landed 12-15 reds, one black drum and a flounder. All of the fish were in a foot or less. We saw 20-30 trout up to 5 pounds, but with the water temps in the low 40’s they would not touch a hook. You could lean over and touch them with you hand. All fish come on various Gulp! and 1/8 ounce jig heads, 12” of water or less.

Took a trip to try out my new waders at Rich’s inlet. Caught the tide rising. And in it was a small school of drum that one boat, 2 dolphins and I were chasing around. I saw the boat pull at least one in,I am sure the dolphins did pretty well by the way the were zipping around.I finished with a total of 5 with a nice one in the top of the slot. Awesome few hours fishing a school of drum….Also, thanks to the boat for the teamwork of locating the school.

Ho HO HO! Sleigh-ed the Xmas reds and trout today. The reds were 18-22” no big ones. The biggest trout were 3-3.5 pounds. All fish come on clear Storm shrimp, and various gulps on 1/8 Bluewater Candy heads, and some 1/8 Sea Strikers. Ran out of Bluewaters, left them on the kitchen table…...30+ reds, 10-12 trout. All fish were in 12-18” or less. The pelican in the middle will tell you where to fish, very very popular hole in New River. Au Revoir.
